The Pixoo-64Ⅱ is Divoom’s flagship pixel display, currently $149.99 (down from $159.99). It’s also the most independently reviewed product in Divoom’s entire catalog, with coverage from tech outlets and YouTube channels going deep on both the highlights and the annoyances. I pulled that coverage together, along with the official spec sheet, to see whether it’s worth the price.
What it actually is
The Pixoo-64Ⅱ is a 10.3-inch, 64×64 pixel LED panel that connects over dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G and 5G) plus Bluetooth. According to Divoom’s own product page, it has 4GB of onboard storage and runs on corded USB power. There’s no internal battery, so it needs to stay plugged in wherever it lives.
Its main feature is pulling live data onto the pixel grid: real-time follower counts from YouTube, Twitch, and Instagram, plus weather, stock prices, and calendar widgets. On top of that, it taps into Divoom’s community gallery of pixel art and animations, or you can draw your own in the app.
What reviewers actually liked
MakeUseOf’s review called out the high pixel density for a display this size, describing the images as crisp despite the low resolution. Reviewers also consistently praise the sheer number of customization options in the app, from clock faces to weather displays to fully custom pixel art, and note the animation playback runs smoothly once a design is loaded.
What reviewers actually complained about
A review from fullSTEAMahead365 found the display underwhelming at maximum brightness, and noted some overall blur that comes with the pixel resolution itself rather than a manufacturing flaw. That same review flagged the app as “not the easiest to work with,” particularly when linking outside accounts like YouTube or Fortnite for the live-stat widgets.
The lack of an internal battery came up repeatedly too. This is a plug-in display, not a portable one, so factor that into where you plan to put it.
Setup, in practice
Per Divoom’s own FAQ, first-time Wi-Fi setup can stall around 40% or 60% if you’re on an outdated app version or the router password is entered incorrectly. Public Wi-Fi networks (hotels, offices, schools) are explicitly discouraged since their login pages interfere with the connection process. On a normal home network, reviewers describe setup as quick: plug it in, follow the app’s prompts, and it’s ready within a few minutes.
How it compares
Against Divoom’s own Ditoo-Pro, you’re trading a built-in Bluetooth speaker for Wi-Fi widgets and a bigger, sharper panel. Against LaMetric Time, the closest outside competitor, the Pixoo-64Ⅱ is $50 cheaper and has a much higher-resolution display, though LaMetric answers back with built-in stereo speakers of its own. Should you buy it?
If you want a desk or wall display that pulls live stats and doubles as a pixel art canvas, the Pixoo-64Ⅱ delivers on both fronts, and it undercuts its closest rival by a wide margin. Just budget time for the app’s learning curve, and remember it needs to stay plugged in.
