Out of everything AYURA sells, the 100 ft x 1/2 inch Pro Metal Shaft reel is the one the brand’s whole Amazon presence is built around. It’s the flagship, the one with an actual metal shaft instead of an all-plastic core, and the one showing up across Amazon Live sessions and independent YouTube reviews.
I went through the listing’s claimed specs, the materials, and the pricing pattern across every source I could verify, since this is the one purchase decision the rest of my AYURA coverage points back to.
What it’s made of
The reel pairs a sealed aluminum interior shaft with brass connectors and precision threading, wrapped in a double-layer, UV-resistant polypropylene shell. The hose itself is a 3-layer PVC construction rated by the listing for 200 PSI working pressure with a 600 PSI burst rating.
Rewind duty falls to a 62Si2Mn coil spring, tested by the manufacturer to more than 20,000 open-and-close cycles, feeding into a self-aligning track designed to stop the hose from tangling on its way back onto the reel. The wall bracket is rated for 230 lbs on concrete, brick, or wood, with an installation template and screws included in the box.
What buyers are actually saying
This is where I want to be straight with you. I could not pull a verified, stable star rating or review count for this listing at the time of writing. Amazon’s review data updates constantly and wasn’t accessible through the research tools I used for this piece, so treat any rating you see quoted elsewhere as a snapshot, and check the live listing yourself before buying.
What I can confirm: the reel has drawn enough attention to show up in multiple independent YouTube reviews and several Amazon Live sessions, and one reseller listing had it flagged as a #1 New Release in the garden hose reel category. That’s a sign of real buyer interest, not proof of long-term durability, which simply hasn’t had time to show up in public reviews yet for a brand this new.
Pricing: what to actually expect
This is the one area where I’d tell you to slow down before checking out. I found this exact reel listed under at least two different Amazon seller accounts, with list prices ranging from $199.99 to $233.99 and “sale” prices anywhere from $109.99 to $169.99 depending on the day and the listing.
That spread is wide enough that the discount percentage shown on any single listing tells you very little. Compare the actual dollar price against the current listing rather than trusting the “percent off” badge, and check my deals and pricing roundup for whatever the latest numbers look like.
How it compares
Against AYURA’s own 130 ft x 5/8 inch model, this 100 ft x 1/2 inch version is the better fit for a smaller or mid-size yard where you don’t need the extra length or the wider hose diameter. I go through that trade-off in more detail in how to choose the right AYURA hose reel.
Against Giraffe Tools’ comparable 130 ft reel, AYURA’s spec sheet claims a higher pressure rating and one extra nozzle pattern for a lower price. What you’re trading away is Giraffe Tools’ longer public track record. I laid out that full comparison in AYURA vs Giraffe Tools.
Should you buy it
If you want an aluminum-and-brass hose reel without paying for a household-name brand, and you’re fine buying from a company that’s still building its public review history, this is a reasonable pick, especially if you catch it near the lower end of its price range. Read the current listing’s reviews yourself before you buy, since that data changes faster than any article can track.
