Before buying it as a gift, I went through independent blogger reviews from people who’d actually used it for weeks, not just unboxed it.
What’s in the box
Beard wash, conditioner, sweet orange and sandalwood beard oil, balm, wooden comb, boar bristle brush, grooming scissors, a travel storage bag, and an e-book guide. It’s designed for all beard types, long, short, thick, thin, coarse, or tangled, per the brand’s own listing.
What buyers are actually saying
Two independent bloggers who tested the kit reported real, tangible improvements. One reviewer, who struggled with chronic dry skin and beardruff, said the hydration was a genuine improvement and the persistent itch that usually made him want to shave everything off mostly disappeared. Another reported his beard felt noticeably softer, both to himself and his wife, and his beard grew straighter with fewer ingrown hairs than in previous years.
Both reviewers were comparing this kit against pricier alternatives like Scotch Porter and Jack Black, and both were surprised the cheaper option performed as well as it did on the basics.
Where it falls short
The balm is the most consistent complaint. Reviewers describe it as nearly transparent with little to no hold, so don’t count on it to shape or tame a longer beard. The included scissors also drew mixed reviews. One reviewer called them well-weighted with a good mechanism; another found the blades pulled hair during trims rather than cutting cleanly. The comb is functional but was rated below a dedicated Cremo comb by one reviewer, lacking slanted teeth and dual-sized rows.
None of that is unusual at a roughly $22 price point. It just means the tools are a solid starting point, not a permanent upgrade if you get serious about beard maintenance.

Against the closest direct competitor, this kit wins on sheer completeness (more tools, lower cost per item), while the rival kit edges ahead on measured product quality and scent variety.
Should you buy it
If you’re buying for yourself or as a gift for someone who owns none of these tools yet, this kit is genuinely hard to beat on completeness and price. If you already own a comb, brush, and scissors you like, you might be better off buying just the oil or the 5-pack scent set instead of the full kit.
